Single crystal CDTE solar cells have been fabricated by procedures analogous to those employed with thin film cells. The effect of high temperature 125 C in helium and 1.5 mev electron irradiation 5 x 10 to the 16th powersq. cm upon the spectral response and V-1 characteristics of single crystal cells has been examined. Polycrystalline thin film CDTE cells have been examined for stability under storage at various combinations of temperature, humidity and vacuum conditions. One significant finding is that cell storage in humid atmospheres up to 60 rh at room temperature will not result in degraded cell performance with a proper protective coating applied ex, drylon lacquer. Thermal cycling data on 4 in. x 4 in. shingled modules are reported. The temperature range was from -200 F to 200 F. Three 14-cell panels have been assembled towards the fabrication of a 70-cell 28-volt power array.
