Abstract:
The report describes in some detail the one-dimensional Lagrangian hydrodynamics computer program, PUFF 66. The code is used primarily in the study of radiation effects. Since 1965, it has been extensively recoded, and two major additions to the physical model have been made. The code now considers material strength effects elastic-plaxtic, and more than one independent energy source may be used. Each subroutine is discussed, and all input-output variables are described. All of the major difference equations used in the hydro routine are derived. Sample problems, complete with input data, are included to allow the user to become familiar with data arrangement and to check the program on his computer. Author
