This report presents the test procedures and results used in the Evaluation of Broadbanding Techniques in High Power Klystron Tubes. For this investigation the 6 cavity X-841D klystron tube was used. This tube was rated at 2.5 MW peak power, 150 KW average power using a 2000 microsecond pulse at 400-450 Mcs. The results of this investigation indicated that it was possible to produce the rated power simultaneously with a bandwidth in excess of 5 at 425 Mcs. Author
