Abstract:

Temperature control of precision floated gyroscopes is required to maintain flotation and to eliminate error torques resulting from hot or cold spots or changes in the instruments thermal environment. The control problem is described as regulation of a reference temperature distribution, within limits, in the face of disturbances.
