Abstract:
For every orthonornal matrix X there exists a skew-symmetric matrix N such that X I-NIN, provided that 1IN exists. A matrix K, similar to N, can be defined for biorthonormal matrices U and V such that U I-KIK, provided that 1IK exists. Numerical methods are presented for examination of the properties of K. The particular property anticipated for K, that it exhibit nn-1 basic parameters inherent in biorthonormal matrices, is not apparent in the numerical examples derived. Author
