Abstract:

Executive tension has increasingly been the subject of research in recent years. This study attempts to review the recent work and writings concerning executive tension, with particular emphasis on how it relates to the Naval Officer. The most common tension causing factors in human interactions are identified and discussed. A sample of 175 case studies were analyzed to determine the most common sources of tension generation in Naval Military Management. Specific leadership and organizational problem areas are discussed.
