Abstract:
The effectiveness of Spark Gap Squibs SGS against radio frequency electromagnetic fields was studied over the frequency range 100 cps to 10 gc. The data obtained on effectiveness is limited in accuracy by difficulties in power measurement imposed by the squib construction, and by lack of availability of RF power sources of sufficient capacity over the desired frequency range. However, qualitative results are encouraging, indicating a high degree of immunity for the SGS against RF electromagnetic fields. Author
