Abstract:
Test data relative to the physical properties and electrical characteristics of seventeen fabrics are presented. The fabrics are ranked according to electrical properties and the correlation between the electrical properties of the specimen tested and their weight and thickness. The mathematical relationship is shown between the physical properties of weight and thickness of a fabric and its electrical characteristics of dielectric constant, reflection coefficient, reflection loss dissipative loss and boresight error. An example is given showing how the mathematical expressions can be used to estimate the electrical properties of a fabric. Author
