Abstract:

In this terrain analysis paper, the author presents a preliminary state-of-the-art study, an analysis of certain terrain quantification methods, criteria for the selection of a terrain test area, and the results of certain tests undertaken in the test area. A list of measurable terrain characteristics and a table of terrain recording categories are presented.
