Abstract:

Particle detectors in the Alouette satellite measured the electrons with energy greater than 3.9 MeV which were trapped in the geomagnetic field as the result of three Russian highaltitude nuclear explosions in October and November, 1962. The early spatial distribution is reported. Temporal variations in the fltx have been studied during the following three months.
