Abstract:
The over-all stoichiometries of the ammoniaoxygen and ammonia- chlorine flame reactions were deduced from mass spectrographic analyses of the gaseous reaction products and from reaction parameters for the opposed-jet diffusion flame. The volumetric reaction rate and heat release rate for this reaction are 7.35 and 25,200 calcu cm.sec, respectively. The volumetric rate of reaction for this equation is 3.67 gcu cm.-sec, which corresponds to a volumetric heat release rate equal to 9,920 calcu cm.-sec.
