Abstract:
Helium and argon continuum light sources have been improved for use as the background in absorption cross-section measurements in the vacuum ultraviolet. The light sources developed have sufficient intensity and stability for use with a photoelectric, wavelength scanning technique at a band width of 0.5A. The helium continuum is useful from 580 to 1100A and the argon continuum from 1070 to 1500A. Author
