Abstract:

In the detection and tracking of space vehicles, quite often important information is directly associated with changes occurring in the parameters of signals received from the target. The problem then becomes one of constructing an optimal receiver for the extraction of the properties of these likelihood principles for estimating the time of occurence of parameter changes i.e., the time at which a sagnal of one parameter changes to a signal of another parameter, when imbedded in noise.
