Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to investigate the possibility of attenuating fluid pressure fluctuations in a duct by introducing phase-inverted pulses at the same frequencies. Theoretical predictions were made from an analysis of applicable theory. Experimental test results were examined for possible sources of error.
