Abstract:

Trifluoromethoxy sulfurpenafluoride and cis-bistrifluoromethoxy tetrafluorosulfur VI were prepared by the ultraviolet irradiation of gaseous mixtures of SF4 with either CF3OF or CF3OOCF3. The products have been characterized and the structures confirmed by mass, infrared and nuclear magnetic resonance spectra.
