Abstract:
The MARK5A Thermal Analyzer is the FORTRAN version of the CALAC Thermal Analyzer with added features such as complete input diagnostics, automatic plotting by a special function, heat rate Q-24 calculations as direct input without punched cards, and special options. The MARK5A Thermal Analyzer solves transient and steady-state heat flow problems using a digital computer to obtain a finite difference solution for the analogous R-C electrical network. It can be programmed to run parametric studies and it will handle periodic and continuous functions. Routines are available to do arithmetic manipulation of problem variables, to calculate the effects of aerodynamic heating, convection, and arbitrary heat inputs. The program determines the envelope of a fluctuating temperature by defining the temperature and times when dTd theta0. Author
