Two main analytical investigations are reported. The first part was directed toward the formulation of formal solutions for stress and displacement for steady-state input loadings and the comparison of these solutions for equipollent loadings. The second part was directed toward the relationships between the three-dimensional theory and various beam and plate theories for strip-like structures. The intent of this is the establishment of criteria for the use of approximate theories in the analysis of steady-state problems. Auchor
