Abstract:
The problem of development and formation of tropical cyclones is investigated through the construction of two dynamic models both of which are based on the supply of energy through release of latent heat by the collective action of deep cumulus convections in conditionally unstable regions and by mean motion in absolutely stable regions. It is assumed that these deep cumulus convections bring surface air to all levels up to a great height, so that heat and moisture are transported directly to high levels. On the other hand, the overall activity of such convective motions is controlled by the supply of moisture by large scale motion, and therefore it must be possible to express the accession of latent heat by convective motion in terms of the mean motion.
