Abstract:

Research was cotinued on the development of a long-life KA-band crystal protector. A series of resonant element sections were investigated to experimentally determine the optimum filter configuration for the gas crystal protector. Some low level work was carried out on the gas pre-TR and solid state limiter designs. Life tests on two different type crystal protectors were conducted to expose problem areas in the designs under consideration.
