The vibration tests were performed per specifi cation SCL-7641 as modified. After 24 hours of 30g broad-band vibration, no evidence of weld joint failures or electrical disturbances were detected. The weld joints tested may also sur vive vibration levels in great excess of 30g therefore, no estimate is made for a recommended vibration limit. Three test models to be used for shock testing by the USAERDL were delivered to the Signal Corps with the sample modules of Task B. Further analysis of the thermal cycling and resistance test data has led to the conclu sion that a bad weld with a resistance as high as 1 milliohm would not go undetected by visual inspection. A criterion was established for determining minimum weld strength of material combinations studied. Author
