Abstract:

The self-diffusion coefficient of Pd is reported for 850 and 896 degrees in a series of silverpalladium ranges from 0 to 0.204. For each temperature the data may be represented by an equation of the form D sub Pd D sub Pd expbX, where X is the atom fraction of Pd and b 7.5. Alternatively, the results conform to the equation D sub Pd 0.0166exp-17.21 T sub m T, indicating that a corresponding states law is followed in this nearly ideal system. Author
