The mathematical model presently used by the Space Detection and Tracking System SPADATS, operated by the U. S. Air Force, Air Defense Command, to describe the orbital motion of Earth satellites is presented. The formulation is given and the non-Keplerian terms are justified. Various output formats of the system are described and defined. Limitations of the model are discussed in a qualitative fashion. Author
