Abstract:

The discrete potential function is used to reduce the boundary value problems for the Laplace difference equation to discrete analogues of the integral equations of potential theory for both finite and infinite regions in spaces of dimen sion greater than two. Uniqueness and existence theorems for the solutions of both the boundary value problems and the corresponding discrete potential equations are obtained by extending the combinatorial form of Stokes Theorem to infinite complexes.
