Porous ceramic substrate materials were evaluated in order to obtain a ceramic substrate material to replace the glass substrates. A ceramic substrate material was selected for use that is superior to any material that has been tried previously. Metallizing techniques have been further improved and a better understanding of the techniques has been obtained. Terminals of various types were tested for use on the porous substrates. Some of the terminals were applied before metallizing and others were applied after metallizing. A method was incor porated for use in the project. Methods of metallizing a substrate that has been cut from a porous disc are described and a metallizing procedure selected for use in the project. Tests were conducted on heat treatment of the metal lized resistors. Resistors were monitored to show changes in resistance value during the heat treating cycle. Effect on high resistance values were compared to the effect on the lower resistance values.
