Abstract:

A micro window bomb was modified for use with a grating spectrograph to observe the flame zone of deflagrating solid propellant with the aim of identifying transient species, their emergence, and their spatial distribution in the flame. Qualitative contrasts between fuelbinder, plastisol-nitrocellulose and NF-binder composite formulations are reported. Prior literature is reviewed in detail. Author
