Abstract:
It is shown that a U. S. submarine is not a broad-band noise source but that the stable harmonics of the engine speed predominate. Through data was inadequate because of relatively high source frequency and velocity, the results of the experiment indicate it may be possible to locate a U. S. submarine emitting a monochromatic signal by the method of Doppler navigation. Author
