Abstract:
Factor scores of high school grades were needed for use in a later study of the relationship of Air Force aptitude tests in high school achievement. Separate hierarchical analyses were made for course grades in the technical curriculum and in the mechanical curriculum. A large general factor characterized both solutions, probably reflecting general academic ability. Other factors displayed the expected subject-matter groupings, the most significant a clear-cut shop factor which appeared in both analyses. Author
