Difluoropentafluorosulfuramine a reaction to give SF5NF2 in about 60 yield occurs between the decomposition products of S2F10 and N2F4 a 140 degrees in a Monel tube. The probable mechanism is the combination of NF2 and SF5 radicals. Chemical properties and spectrographic analysis are reported. Xenon hexafluoride F-Xe mixtures were introduced into a 1500 cc prefluorinated Ni vessel and the pressure-temperature dependence followed from room temperature up to 720K. The mixtures followed ideal gas behavior up to 390K when a pressure decrease occurred. The pressure decreased in the range 480 to 520K until the total decrease was 2.5 times the pressure which would have been due to Xe alone. At 710K the pressure vs temperature curve merged into that expected for a mixture of F2 with XeF4. Three F-Xe xenon mixtures were reacted at pressures expected to favor formation of the higher fluorides of Xe. Theoretical and analytical yields for XeF6 are presented.
