Abstract:
A method is presented for t e computation of natural vibrations in compressor blades of compressors of all designs used in the various branches of machine building. For the irst time, it has been possible to obtain, on the basis of the theory of plates, a practically convenient solution for calculating the forms and frequencies of th natural vibrations and the stresses in the vicinity of resonance. Diagrams, tables, and approximate formulas that simplify the calculations considerably re presented. Also given is an illustrative numerical calculation for a blade of arbitrary type, with a comparison of the results with experiment. The book is inten ed for scientific workers and engineers concerned with the problems of designing turbine and compressor blades for various applications. Author
