Abstract:
The results of observations of stellar scintillations on the AZT-7 telescope are stated. A law of the change in amplitude of scintillation is determined with zenith distance. It is indicated that the law varies, depending on the diameter of the inlet opening. A correlation has been found between the amplitude of scintillation and the quality of the stellar images. Data on the character of amplitude variation of scintillation with various apertures from 30 to 200 mm are introduced. The wavelength of density fluctuations in the effective turbulent layer of the atmosphere responsible for stellar scintillation is calculated for three nights of observations according to the Rosch theory.
