In order to develop titaniu alloys with .1 yield strength in the range 240,0 0 to 60,000 psi, a series of 15 eight-pound alloys are being prepared at two int rstitial level . Following t eir evaluation 4 fifty-pound alloys will be prepared and tested both as sheet and bar stock. W LDABILI Y STUDIES WILL BE PERFORMED ON THE SHEET MATERIAL. Melting of the eight-pound ingots is in progress and beta transus temperatures have been determined for all the compositions o 25-g buttons. Author
