Abstract:

IN AN EFFORT TO DERIVE GREATER PROTECTION TO THE VISUAL MECHANISM UNDER ADVERSE CONDITIONS, A SERIES OF METALS WERE EVALUATED AS OPTICAL NEUTRALS IN THE VISIBLE AND NEAR IR and UV. The most promising of these was titanium deposited as a neutral wedge on the concave surfaces of uncorrected ophthalmic lenses.
