The purpose of this study was to measure the daily sodium, potassium, iron, phosphorus and magnesium losses in sweat, of men exposed to high environmental temperatures. These mineral losses were evaluated in relation to the total daily intake, the total mineral balance and tomineral requirements. Another problem investigated was whether the diurnal variation of the minerals in sweat was decreased duringacclimatization to extreme heat.
