Abstract:

The effect of profiling the channel of a magnetogasdynamic generator on the efficiency of the conversion of thermal energy into electrical energy and on the dimensions of the generator was investigated. The order of the efficiency in the case of small magnetic Reynolds numbers in the supersonic region is indicated, and a method of estimating the efficiency for Re greater than or equal to 1 is given. Viscosity and heat conduction are neglected. Author
