Abstract:

The hemispherical spectral radiant intensity of a blackbody radiator has been evaluated between 100,000 cm expn -1 and 5 cm expn -1 over the temperature range 5 to 10 expn 8 deg K. The temperature range 300 to 6000 deg K, in increments of 10 deg K, is given in Table 1 300 and 6000 deg K are approximately the earths and suns average temperature. In Table 2, the temperature region between 5 and 300 deg K is tabulated in intervals of 5 deg K. The region between 6000 and 10,000 deg K is tabulated in increments of 100 deg K from 10 expn 4 to 10 expn 5 deg K with Delta T 10 expn 3 from 10 expn 5 to 10 expn 6 deg K with Delta T 10 expn 4 from 10 expn 6 to 10 expn 7 deg K with Delta T 10 expn 5 and from 10 expn 7 to 10 expn 8 deg K with Delta T 10 expn 6. On each page the radiance values are tabulated for two particular wavenumbers. The spectral region between 100,000 cm expn -1 and 50,000 cm expn -1 is changed by increments of 1000 cm expn -1 from 50,000 cm expn -1 to 10,000 cm expn -1 with Delta v 500 cm expn -1 from 10,000 cm expn -1 to 200 cm expn -1 with Delta v 20 cm expn -1 and from 200 cm expn -1 to 5 cm expn -1 with Delta v 5 cm expn -1.
