Abstract:
The system in use at Naval Missile Center for obtaining physiologic data during flight is a self-powered, self-contained data-acquisition package capable of recording three channels of physiologic data plus one channel of environmental correlation data. This system is uniquely free of dependence on aircraft modification and telemetry scheduling. A data-playback system is used for recovery and processing of all meaningful data recorded during flight by the data-acquisition package. Recovery involves suitable composite track amplification and discrimination of all data channels. Processing of data includes suitable filtering of function spectrums and production of a multichannel chart record. Incorporated in the playback is a form of tape-speed compensation which attenuates the effects of flutter induced in the recording process. Author
