Abstract:

Attempts to prepare high temperature stable inorganic polymers containing catenated triazine rings resulted in refractory products from which 2-amino-, 2-hydroxy-, and 2-phenyl-4,6-diureido1,3,5-triazine were isolated. N,N-Diarylsulfamides rearranged to arylsulfonamides. PhNHSO2HNPh and pCH3C6H4NHSO2HNC6H4CH3p seem to form linear oligomers with polymerization degree n2-4 when heated at 150 to 200 C. The reactions of PhPOCl2 with PhNHSO2HNPh and with MeNHSO2HNMe were studied. Ph2PONCO and PhPONCO2 were synthesized and identified. Crude copolymers of PhPONCO2 with p-NH22C6H4 and with m-NH22C6H4 were prepared. PONCO3 and PONCS3 were reacted with 2,6diaminopyridine, p-HO2C6H4, p-NH22C6H4, H2NCONH2, benzoguanamine and melamine.
