Abstract:
The angular distribution of dose rate resulting from gamma rays of Co-60 and Cs-137 transmitted through various thicknesses of iron 0.737 in. and 1.6 in. and aluminum 2 in., 4 in., and 9 in. was measured. These experimental results were compared with Monte Carlo calculations. Comparisons over a limited range of these angular variables were also made with dose-rate distributions calculated from gamma-ray spectrometric data. Author
