Abstract:

A computer simulator is described that will plot directly the describing function for nonlinear elements and can also be used for plotting polar plots of linear transfer function. The simulator can be used to give the frequency response polar diagram for the combined linear and nonlinear elements. Compensation can be inserted in the loop and its effect on the polar diagram evaluated directly. Abstract nonlinearities may be handled with ease on the computer. Author
