Abstract:

A study was made of devices for the removal of oil and moisture from compressed air. Compressor difficulties arise due to condensation of moisture and deposition of oil in the compressed air lines. To avoid this, hot air is cooled before it is delivered to the air lines, and the moisture and the oil are condensed and removed insofar as possible directly at the compressor. For this purpose, a refrigerator and an oil-moisture separator are installed between the compressor and air collection point. A description is given of the refrigerator and the oil-moisture separator, and tests were conducted to demonstrate their effectiveness. Author
