Electron damage measurements previously have been used to obtain values for the average threshold energies and for the electrical resistivities of Frenkel pairs in a number of metals. In the report it is shown that there is an empirical correlation between the point defect resistivities so obtained and the normal, high-temperature electrical resistivities of different metals. The threshold energies are discussed and extrapolations are made to predict values for certain metals whose threshold energies have not yet been measured. The low temperature Stage I recovery of most of the metals studied is shown to be qualitatively similar to that in copper, and the correlation of recovery temperatures with certain bulk properties is discussed. The radiation damage parameters derived from the electron results are used to compare theory and experiment for irradiations performed with heavy particles. It is shown for neutron irradiations that there is a general tendency for the simple displacement theory to give better agreement with experiment as the atomic weight of the bombarded material increases.
