Abstract:

The design and development of the C-band transponder set ANDPN-65 XE-1 is reported. The set is a subminiature unit utilizing silicon solid state active elements throughout with the exception of a planar transmitting tube. It is designed for extreme environmental conditions and has a self-contained battery power source. It consists of a three-cavity preselector which contains an integral duplexer and video detector, a broad video amplifier, decoder, modulator, transmitter and power supply.
