Abstract:

A study was made of an advanced high d nsity landing sys em. The ideal army aircraft landing sy tem ould be manually controlled and not basically automatic. Many years of computer development will be necessary before an automatic flight control system can equal the human operators reliabili y in adaptive, predictive, and non-line r control ability.
