Abstract:
Gamma-induced photoconductivity was measured in a Mylar polyethylene terephthalate capacitor over a range of flux from 100 Rsec to 4,000,000 Rsec. The results generally agree with data of other researchers and with the semiempirical relationship S Kg to the l power where S photoconductivity, 1ohm-cm g gamma flux, Rsec K a constant of proportionality characteristic of the material l an exponent, also characteristic of the material. A least squares fit of this curve to the data yields values of K 6.2 0.6 x 10 to the -19th power 1ohm-cm Rsec and 1 1.11 0.01. Author
