The console is designed to present visual information on a cathode ray tube display generated during the course of problem solution. The console is provided with an integral memory for display maintenance and allows the printing of points, characters and vectors. Light pens are also provided for graphical communication and program control. Primary control of the console is exercised by the central data processor in the selection of modes of operation however, local control over the chaining of blocks of data to be displayed is provided by the use of control words stored in the display memory.
