Abstract:
The suitability of electron bombardment for measuring the thermophysical properties of materials was established. A solution applicable to the case of a radiating cylindrical sample is presented the technique offers a valuable tool for measuring these properties within described limits. Values of thermal diffusivity, thermal conductivity, densityspecific heat, and total normal emissivity were determined for graphite and Al2O3 polycrystalline. Recommendations on instrumentation are made for the further development of this technique. Author
