Abstract:
The study of iron phosphides was completed. Co2P and some ternary phosphides of Fe-Co-P were prepared. The ternary alloys, Me1, Me22B type and Me1, Me2B type, Me1 and Me2 being transition metals were studied. The FeP phosphide was ferromagnetic with a Curie point at 215 K. FeP2 was paramagnetic with negative Curie points. Fe, Co2B and Fe, Ni2B alloys and some among the Co, Ni2B and Fe, Mn2B alloys were studied. Curie points and magnetic moments were determined. Curie points of Fe21-x Ni2xB decreased rapidly with increasing Ni content. Ferromagnetism of Co21-x Ni 2xB and Fe21-xMn2xB disappears for values of x, above 50. Author
