Abstract:

A status report is presented on the development of the transient thermal property apparatus described in Parts 1 and 2 of WADD-TR-60-581. Modifications and improvements of the apparatus are described, and results of measurements of the thermal diffusivity of tantalum at 1400 and 1500 deg C are given. The status of thermal property measurements by existing techniques is also included.
