Abstract:

Methods are known for the coupling of multichannel communications systems with time-division multiplex to a system with channel frequency-division multiplex, based on transduction with full demodulation of linear signals. Devices are also known in which the terminal apparatus used is the same as that used in wire systems, so that the systems are interchangeable. The drawback of such systems and devices is their complexity, since their realization requires conversion of the group signal to low frequency. In the method described, this drawback is eliminated the fragments of the group signal of the system with time-division multiplex are transformed into signals by means of a frequency-time selection device and frequency conversion, and then are stored successively by the memory device and are continuously and simultaneously reproduced. This is achieved by the use of a time-frequency selector to whose output a storage device is connected. Author
