Abstract:

Considerable literature has been published on the re-entry heating of ballistic missiles. The orbiting satellite and interplanetary probe present new problems in aerodynamic heating, e.g. different configurations and trajectories. These abstracted references are the result of a literature search for information on the spacecraft re-entry problem.
